Karthi all set for make-over for Saguni? [TFC]

Actor Karthi is on a high, for sure. His latest film ‘Siruthai’, which was a remake of the Telugu hit film Vikarmaarkudu, was pilloried by the media and the critics alike for its ‘scriptless’ treatment. Despite all the negative press it received, Siruthai’ (unfortunately) happens to be the leading film vis-à-vis theatre ticket sales for the present year.
Karthi all set for make over for Saguni?
Actor Vishal has reportedly sounded Siva, who directed Karthi in ‘Siruthai’, to be ready with the script so that they could work together in the near future. Karthi, after having struck an ‘unexpected gold mine’ in Siruthai, has become more circumspect than before in choosing the director and the script for his next film.
‘Saguni’, to be directed by debutant director Shankar Dayal, would be Karthi’s next film. Saguni, a mythological character in the epic Mahabharat, was a master-planner in avenging his enemies. Karthi’s ‘Saguni’ would, however, be different as he would be plotting the downfalls of his enemies who happen to be anti-social elements.
In order to prepare himself for the role of a ‘reformist youth’ in ‘Saguni’, Karthi is likely to alter his appearance to look like a boy-next-door with innocence oozing out of his face. Karthi’s looks are likely t o remind old timers of his father and actor Sivakumar’s on-screen appearance in the late seventies, it is learnt.
