Perhaps for the first time in her career in Kollywood, Tamanna is playing a rural girl in Venghai, a film directed by ‘commercial king’ Hari with Dhanush playing the lead role.
‘It is not the usual heroine role. There is enough scope for me to perform. Hari has infused the script all necessary racy ingredients and I am happy to bag such an offer,’ says the petite beauty.
Tamanna, in the meantime, is going great guns in Telugu too. Her Telugu film, 100% Love, which has Naga Chaitanya as protagonist, hit the screens only yesterday and she is currently acting opposite Allu Arjun in Badrinath.
‘I love both Tamil and Telugu film industries. People here are thorough professionals and to be frank, I am fluent in Tamil and Telugu these days and find it difficult to speak in Hindi,’ she says with a smile.
