Whether Samantha Ruth Prabhu is really making her foray into Bollywood or not, her stars are shining in Tollywood after Gautham Vasudev Menon introduced the bubbly beauty in the Telugu movie Ye Maya Chesave. The film was a remake of Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya. Sam, who got sort of jinxed in Tamil after the debacle of her debut venture Moscowin Kaveri, was in no mood to sign a Tamil film after she hit the big time in T’town with films like Brindaavanam with Jr NTR and Dookudu with Mahesh Babu.
Now, the big news is that she’s returned to her roots and the man who is bringing her to K’wood is none other than her mentor Gautham Menon. Industry sources reveal that Samantha had been persuaded to costar opposite Jiiva in Gautham’s forthcoming untitled venture. It did not come as a surprise to film folks, after all, it was Gautham who gave her the first break in Telugu. One may recall her offbeat cameo in Menon’s earlier Tamil flick Nadunisi Naaigal, which got flak from many sections.
