The Hyderabad police have filed case against Popular Telugu actor Nagarjuna, for allegedly abusing a woman journalist and for criminal intimidation.
A police source said police may question the actor and also record the statement of Y. Sunita Chowdhary, who lodged a complaint against him. A case under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code was booked against Nagarjuna on Saturday at Jubliee Hills police station.
Sunita a freelance journalist working as member of state censor board has alleged that Nagarjuna threatened to kill her and used filthy and vulgar language against her when she met him at Annapurna Studio during the shooting of “Damarukam” on Sep 29.
Sunita further said that Nagarjuna picked up an argument with Sunita after she wrote an article about him a few months ago.
