Karthika demands a huge (TFC)

After the huge success of ‘Ko’, in which she was introduced Karthika has strangely not signed new Tamil films.
The reason for this is that Karthika has started demanding huge fee to the producers and directors who approach her which they think is just too much for her, a source said. But Karthika has shot back saying that whoever wants to sign her up knows what her worth is and how much she deserves. She is not the kind of a person to demand hefty salary, a source has said. Karthika herself has said that she had been getting several offers but with the same kind of character played in Ko so I don’t want to repeat the role she said.

Now Karthika has signed a Telugu movie with Junior NTR, titled ‘Dammu’, which also has Trisha.

‘Ko’ sequel on Cards now? (TFC)

Doubtlessly, ‘Ko’ has become one of the biggest grosser of this year 2011. Not confined within the boundaries, the film went on to make big surprise in Telugu film industry as the dubbed version ‘Rangam’ rocked to the core crossing 100 days in Andhra Pradesh.

The Tamil version is still running in many theatres and the crowd is thronging for the movie. The latest we hear is that the makers are planning to go for a sequel. If everything goes well, K.V Anand and his team of writers will soon start working on this project after completing ‘Maatran’.
The lead actors for this film are yet to be confirmed and naturally it’s too early to let anything out on this project.

Ko takes Karthika to Bollywood (TFC)

Actress Karthika who made her debut in Tamil with director KV Anand’s KO has earned positive reviews for her performance. 

WIth Ko al set to be remade in Bollywood starring Akshay Kumar, buzz is that Karthika might reprise her role as a feisty journalist in Hindi version too.

Sources say Karthika is all excited to do the Hindi version. Ko directed by K V Anand went on to become a huge hit completing 50-day run. It has collected huge revenue and still going strong.

Karthika, of Ko fame, never got a role worthy of her slender and lanky beauty after Ko but the problem is with her acting, say critics. Since Ko is her first film, she is expected to come out of her slight woodenness.

She tried too many desperate ways to bag a role. Going by her mother Radha’s suggestion, she praised young actors like Jeeva, Simbu, Dhanush and others in expectations of finding a role with any of them. None of the ideas worked but her latest idea to resort to Akshay Kumar seems to work.
Since Akshay Kumar is willing to remake Ko in Hindi, she has approached Akshay Kumar to ask for the role she played in Tamil. Akshay Kumar also looks like he is willing to give it away to Karthika. It is very likely for Karthika to reprise the same role and debut in Bollywood with the script of a hit film in Tamil.
