Actor Karthi got engaged to Ranjani on April 29. The engagement took place at the bride’s residence at Kumarasamy Goundampalayam, a village near Kodumudi in Erode District. The ceremony was a low profile event and only close family members from both the families were present at this function. Karthi along with his father Sivakumar, mother Lakshmi, brother Suriya, Surya’s daughter Diya, youngest sister Brindha and other family members were presnet at the bride’s residence for the ceremony.
A large gathering of men and women from the village and neighboring areas gathered at the village temple, where Karthi and his family members offered prayers before leaving for the bride’s home.
Born to Chinnasamy and Jothi Meenakshi in Erode, Ranjani has finished her post graduate in English Literature from Stella Maris,Chennai. Karthi has completed his B E course in Crescent Engineering College in Chennai and has done his MS in Industrial Engineering from Binghamton University, New York.
Karthi and Ranjani will tie the knot on July 3 at the Kodesia Complex in Coimbatore. A grand reception will be held a week after the marriage told by Sivakumar.
