Directors’ Union Election results – 2011

After Director Bharathiraja and Ameer came together to contest the elections under a single front, the election was held on Sunday, on 19 June 2011. Bharathiraja contested for the post of President while Ameer has contested for the Secretary Post.

Bharathiraja won by a 1003 votes while Ameer had secured 901 votes. They both are elected as the President and Secretary respectively. SP Jananathan did not have any competition to be elected as treasurer unopposed.
Cheran and Samuthirakani have become the Vice-Presidents of the Tamil Film Directors’ Association. Assistant Directors’ Association had a huge banner outside the premises.
