Theatre owners might protest releasing ‘Mankatha’ (TFC)

Theatre-owners are said to be thinking twice about releasing Ajith's upcoming film 'Mankatha' not because of any sort of misunderstanding with Ajith. It's because of the fact that the theatre-owners have some grouse against the producer Dayanidhi Azhagiri.

Dayanidhi Azhagiri's last two films as producer in 'Va Quarter Cutting' and 'Azhagarasmiyin Kudhirai' haven't fared well at the theatres. This had reportedly resulted in theatre-owners incurring huge losses after releasing these two films.

They are said to be confabulating among themselves to take up the distribution and release of Dayanidhi's latest venture 'Mankatha' only if they are compensated for the losses suffered earlier by them. Ajith, who has already gone on record saying that his job was not to clear obstacles in releasing his film, may not interfere in the matter.

There is, of course, some good news for Ajith's fans. Now that Gnanavel Raja has taken up the distribution and theatrical release of 'Mankatha', it appears that the problem would be amicable solved paving the way for the smooth release of 'Mankatha'.
