Miss Universe 2011 Contestants (TFC)

Miss Universe 2011, the 60th anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant, was held at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011. Ximena Navarrete of Mexico crowned her successor, Leila Lopes of Angola, at the end of this event. Contestants from 89 countries and territories participated in this year's pageant, surpassing the previous record of 86 contestants in 2006.

It is an international beauty contest that is organized by Miss Universe Organization annually. It is the most popular contest in the world. Firstly it was held by a clothing company of California in 1952.
The 60th anniversary of Miss Universe was held in Brazil. This great contest was organized in Connaught Hall on 12 September 2011. In this contest 89 contestants took part from all over the world.

Miss Leila Lopes have won the contest and became Miss Universe 2011. She belongs to Angola. After a long a black woman won this big contest. She recieved the title from the former Miss Universe title holder Ximena Navarrete of Mexico.
