Reacting to the ban imposed on her by Kerala Film Producers Association Nithya Menon has said that it is unfair and that she was innocent.
The actress was banned for showing disrespect towards the top producers of Malayalam film industry by refusing to meet them for discussing on a film. Revealing more on this she said she was busy on the day with the shooting of her forthcoming film. As the director gave her a very small break she was having her lunch and it was during this time a senior producer approached her following which he was asked to meet her manager. “The producers came to the sets to discuss a film without any intimation. If they had informed me before I would have spared some time for them. How can I allocate the time on the shooting sets of other unit,” she said.
Nithya Menon said that she was banned for personal vengeance and egos. Nithya Menon revealed that she had been offered all support from every quarter on this matter.
