‘Ko’ all set for some box-office records (TFC)

director K.V Anand's Jeeva-Karthika-Ajmal-Piaa starrer 'Ko' has already become the super-hit movie of the year. The film, which has a racy script, awesome performances by the lead actors and titillating music to back up the story, has turned out to be a runaway success at almost all the centres it was screened.
Ko all set for some box office records
Trade pundits have predicted that the film might end up raking in more than Rs.40 crores by the time it completes its 'first run'. Incidentally, Anand's previous film 'Ayan' too was the most successful movie of the year 2009 when it released. Obviously, successive hits – rather super-hits – have sky-rocketed the fee Anand demands (and gets) to direct his movies.
Anand, whose next film 'Maatraan' would be starring Surya in the lead, has reportedly been paid a whopping sum of Rs.5 crores to direct the film. With due credit to Anand's film-making abilities, it ought to be pointed out that Anand's films have always been assisted by the twin-authors Su-Ba whose contributions have been immense in making the films click in a big way at the box-office.
The duo of Su-Ba, who have been with Anand ever since his directorial debut with 'Kanaa Kandein', have continued to assist him as on date and would be doing so in the future too, hopefully. Reports say that the duo has declined offers from leading directors to come and work for their films.
That's what loyalty is all about, isn't it?

KO completes 50 days (TFC)

ko-50days
KO directed by KV Anand has completed 50 days of run successfully and it looks like there is no stopping. The film crossed 50-day mark, and is still making good revenues all over the world. Congratulations messages are pouring in from all sides for the team. KO is a genuine hit and it is the biggest grosser in 2011 so far. All the screen owners are very happy with the collections. The film stars Jeeva, Ajmal, Karthika and Piaa Bajpai in the lead roles.
The film is released by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies worldwide. The film has managed to pull the audiences to the screens in the era of piracy and television serials.
