I never watch my films – Hansika Motwani

a Comment
Actress Hansika Motwani talks about films, personal life and more."My family never planned for me to enter the film industry. As a child, I used to go to my mother's clinic after school. She being a dermatologist, people from the film industry came to see her, as there were very few skin specialists 10-12 years ago.

Sometimes, they would say, "She's such a bright kid; you should give her a chance to act in serials." My mother always said, "No, no! My daughter will never come into the industry!"
One day, Aruna Iraniji, whom my mother knew very well, promised to fetch me and drop me back personally if my mother let me act in 'Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand'. My mother agreed, but gave her a long list of instructions - "My daughter will only work from 4 pm to 10 pm; she will sleep at this hour; study at this hour... All this is your responsibility."
Star Plus wanted me any which way, and Aruna aunty agreed to all my mother's conditions. They even promised they would make me die in the serial. But they never did that, because the TRPs shot up as soon as I came in - you know, it happens whenever there’s a child actor.
One fine day, I was shooting in Hyderabad for a Hindi film, where I was to be launched as a heroine, and Mithunda's son was to be the hero. Puri Jagannath saw me and offered me a role in Desamuduru. I was only 14 then, and I was going to act with Allu Arjun!

The shooting coincided with my Class X board exams, so every day, I used to fly from Hyderabad to Bombay, write my exam, and fly back to the set. People ask me about difficulty with languages. I'm learning the south Indian languages, but people are so good to me that I've never felt I’m not a part of that family.
In my first film with Dhanush, he taught me so many Tamil words. In the second, Ravi used to tease me in Tamil, and I used to give back in my toota-phoota Tamil. Prabhu deva sir helped me a lot too. And then with Velayudham, Vijay was so wonderful.
Once I'm off the sets, I don't act like a celebrity; I'm Hansika.
The one downside to being an actor is that I can’t make friends—one, I don't have the time; second, either I'm afraid of people, or they're afraid of me! So I hang out with a group of my close friends, who've been with me right from childhood.
On the sets, I'm completely involved. I'm that character, never Hansika. But I'm not the kind who takes the script home and practises. I usually never watch my own films, because most of the time, I feel ashamed and think, "I could have done so much better."
My mother has been such a pillar of strength. She left her business, her dreams, her sleep for me. Because of her, I believe in hard work, followed by destiny.

Hansika Motwani turns down Vikram’s ‘Rajapattai’? (TFC)

The latest sensation in the Tamil film industry seems to be having one's priorities right. While many heroines these days consider doing item numbers even while acting as a heroine, Hansika Motwani seems to have turned down an offer that came her way from Vikram's upcoming film 'Rajapattai'.
While the demand for appearing in item numbers is increasing every passing day, sources close to Hansika Motwani reveal that she did not give her thumbs up despite being offered a dainty package of more than 1 crore! It is also reported that Hansika Motwani, at the moment, is not interested in featuring in item numbers.
Suseendhiran, it is reported, wanted a South Indian heroine who has never done an item song to appear for this song, and hence his first choice was Hansika Motwani. But now since, Hansika Motwani has passed the offer the slot is still open and might land on another lead lady from the south soon.
'Rajapattai' is a strong hero-oriented subject where Vikram plays a gym instructor. He has of course also gone in for a makeover getting into the skin of his character with a toned up body et al. Deeksha Seth plays his love interests in the film which is touted to spring a lot of surprises.

Hansika Motwani Sick (TFC)

The film world is known for so many fusses and complexes from the artists. The actors do not normally concern about the proceedings of the schedule if the priority goes for the personal choice. At times the entire unit will wait stranded without the arrival of the artists on time.
Braving the sick health Hansika Motwanis gesture
In some cases the artists may abscond without any intimation to the production unit. Amidst these unpleasant moments of the shooting, here’s one upcoming heroine, Hansika Motwani who has neglected her sickness for the sake of a movie schedule.
We all know that she has been a busy actress right from the success run of the latest Engeyum Kadhal. She is entering into the Tollywood too and is currently in the units of Tantrika film. During the schedule she fell sick and was unable to contribute.
But she did not disappoint the unit and asked them to proceed despite her illness. This is the major talk in the field now a days. While appreciating this gesture shall we expect such sort of co operation to continue for ever?

Sun Pictures slips again, 2nd time in a month (TFC)

Sun Picture, the media giant, has met with failure in its latest two releases after the super-duper hit ‘Endhiran: The Robot’ which starred superstar Rajnikanth & Aishwarya Rai and released last year. Missing to hit the bull’s eye on two consecutive occasions that too within a month, hasn’t done any good to the reputation of the company.
Sun Pictures slips again, 2nd time in a month
This has given handle to the detractors who say that though Sun Pictures is part of the huge Sun Network, it hasn’t been able to achieve success as the television channel has managed. In the past few years when Sun Pictures is in existence, it has only delivered two ‘hit’ films, it is categorically stated by trade sources who don’t want to ‘identify’ themselves.
Except for Rajnikanth’s ‘Endhiran’ and Surya’s ‘Ayan’, all the films distributed and released by Sun Pictures during the past few years have all been ‘success’ only on paper and not in reality, it is strongly rumoured. After last year’s success in ‘Endhiran’, Sun Pictures appears to have ‘slipped’ twice within a month in releasing and distributing ‘Mappillai’ and ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’.
The much-touted and much-awaited ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ ran dry shows on its very second day in some leading theatres in the city, it is said. However, not accepting the reality, Sun Pictures continues to flood the promos of the film on all the channels the Network controls to created an illusion as if it’s a super-hit film!

Written by: Prabhu Deva, A. C. Mugil, Ravi Chakravarthy, Jayakannan, Premsai

Review : Tamiltinsel.com Review Team

Prabhu Deva has taken the ever fading genre of Romance and has succeeded. Love is the main theme of the movie that is said in exotic locations of France. Will there be a best name for a romantic character other than Kamal? Jayam Ravi as Kamal, a committed and hard working businessman who is busy with business for 11 months and spends the rest one month away from home, certianly at a hot tourist destination (Paris).

Jayam Ravi is stylish at his best and proves his mettle once again as a chocolate boy! Hanshika Motwani, the happening lady in Kollywood as Lolita does her job well in the movie. She romances well with Jayam Ravi and their on screen chemistry is awesome. Though she flawed in delivering the dialogues well, it is well managed by her dubbing artist.

The movie revolves around Kamal (Jayam Ravi) and Lolita (Hanshika Motwani) who tries to help Kamal come out of a trap that is set for him. Kamal who has no belief in love falls in love. As he considers love as a committed task which will disappoint for sure. The rest is how Lolita changes his mind and conquers his heart. Jayam Ravi at his best scene after scene, Rajusundaram after Unnale Unnale is hilarious in the movie. Rajasekhar (Suman) as Lolita's father did his job well with his acting prowess. Prakash Raj does a blink and miss role!

Prabhu Deva has come out with a beautiful love story and presented in a clean way with enormous support from all the rechnical departments.
Nirav Shah's lenses speaks throughout the movie. Editing is by Antony, need to say more? Kudos to Harris for magical love songs and the BGM's. Songs are picturised in exotic locales and are well choreographed! Make up department deserves a special mention. The movie is good except for the nativity as the story happens in France. Engeyum Kaadhal is Prabhu Deva's Victorious attempt.
