My wish has come true: Vijay (TFC)

Vijay was one among the early birds who called on AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on Friday, even as her party was heading for a massive win in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
The actor, who supported the AIADMK-alliance in the polls, had a few minutes’ exchange with her. The ‘Ilaya Thalapathi’ was accompanied by his father and popular filmmaker S A Chandrasekar.
Speaking to reporters later, Vijay said, “I was really hoping for a change. And it has happened now. This is a much needed change and the scale of victory is amazing. People have expressed themselves in a big way.”
Expressing gratitude to the members of his Vijay Makkal Iyakkam who had worked for the AIADMK-led alliance, the actor said, “Respecting my request, they worked extremely hard. I thank them sincerely.”

Tamil Nadu election results: Jayalalithaa's massive comeback (TFC)

Tamil Nadu election results: Jayalalithaa's massive comeback

Chennai:  The fireworks that celebrated her victory outside her house in Chennai sometimes made it hard to hear Jayalalithaa, but her message, hours after she was declared the winner of the Tamil Nadu elections, was unwavering. "Wherever I went in the last three years...the people were totally disgusted with DMK and were waiting for a chance to vent their anger against the DMK government. Once they got the opportunity, they showed their anger and resentment in no uncertain terms," she said to the hundreds of people gathered, flashes of light from the fireworks streaking her face.

Ahead of her appearance, M Karunandhi, the head of the DMK, resigned as Chief Minister of the state.

In the Tamil Nadu elections, voters have attached no terms and conditions to their support for Jayalalithaa and her allies - so definitive is their verdict. During her election campaign, Jayalalithaa had predicted that with her allies, she would win upwards of 185 of the 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu assembly. She has proved that was not just political bluster. With her allies, she has won 199 of the state's 234 assembly seats - a skyscraper of a victory in a bitterly-fought political landscape.

Party sources say the AIADMK leader was so confident of returning to power that she had booked the Madras University Centenary Hall for her swearing-in. Known for being superstitious, she has reportedly indicated that she'd like the ceremony to take place on Sunday.

Jayalalitha in Velayutham’s audio launch? [TFC]

If reports from Kollywood are to be believed, the AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalitha has agreed to participate in the audio launch function of Velayutham. Vijay’s father, director SA Chandrasekar had supported the AIADMK during the current elections and had campaigned for the party.

Following this, there were rumors that Jayalalitha would attend the audio launch of Sattapadi Kuttram but this did not happen as she was busy with the election campaign. With the elections out of the way now, it is expected that Jayalalitha would grace the audio launch of Velayutham. Sources also say that Velayutham’s producer Aascar Ravichandran is making arrangements for a grand event at the Nehru Indoor Stadium.

Vijay to announce his support to AIADMK on 22nd?

Vijay
Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s fans are mighty excited at the rally cum protest planned by their ‘hero’ on 22nd (next Wednesday) of this month at Nagapattinam to protest against the State and Union Governments’ continuing ‘lack of interest’ in stalling the on-going attacks on hapless Tamil fishermen by the Sri Lankan navy.
The preparation for the protest has begun with great enthusiasm among the star’s fans in Naagai, reports say. Vijay would be meeting and consoling the family members of the fishermen who lost their lives or were left grievously injured besides providing them with monetary benefits and other help.
This would be the first time Vijay, who has been saying that he would ‘indulge in politics’ in a few years’ time, has taken up a public cause and decided to go on protest. The star’s fans from many other Districts are also expected to take part in the protest to add to the numbers and to show to the other political parties in the State about the star’s ‘strength’.
Office-bearers of Vijay’s fan clubs say (on condition of anonymity) that they have reason to believe that the local police have been ‘specifically instructed’ to ensure that not a ‘huge crowd’ collects on the said day. They have been asked to restrict the entry of lorries, trucks and vans into Naagai from the previous day itself, they say.
Observers say this could be true but aren’t sure about the actual position. On that day, it is said that Vijay might openly declare his support to the AIADMK in the ensuing elections!

Vijay’s grand reception [TFC]

Vijays grand receptionActor Vijay received a grand reception from the party members of AIADMK, when he paid a visit to Pollachi.
Vijay thanked the members for their kind reception. Close sources say that Vijay might soon campaign for AIADMK before the election.
Vijay father and Vijay met AIADMK leader ex-chief minister Jayalalitha twice but Vijay's father S.A Chandrashekar made it very clear that Vijay might enter into politics only at the age of 40. It was also been said that Thala Ajith is also supporting AIADMK. So, if sources are to be believed both Thala and Thalapathi are giving their support to the opposition party.
Let`s us wait & watch the twists and turns of actors and actresses entering into the political fields.

Vijay,Ajith Joined Against DMK [TFC]

DID VIJAY & AJITH [Thala-Pathy] Fans Show His Power on Election.......

Ajith-Vijay

Actor Vijay criticizes DMK openly

Chennai Feb 03 ( truthdive): Actor Vijay has openly criticized the ruling party in Tamil Nadu. His plain speak in an interview to Anantha Vikadan, a popular Tamil magazine may add fuel to the burning political scenario on the eve of ensuing Assembly elections.
It may not be known whether the out of the screen activities of Vijay such as forming a social movement, contact with Rahul Gandhi are the outcome of his reaction to the business rivalry with the DMK’s first family involved in film production and distribution or for his long term goal of entering politics to become Chief Minister of Tamil nadu.
There are complaints in Kollywood that the influence of ruling party in screening of films in theaters, by giving priority to the DMK family production only, has gone beyond limits and has caused losses to others.
Vijay has accused that the release of his films during the festival time was prevented or delayed only to facilitate the successful running of the films produced and distributed by DMK men to ease out competition from his films. He has asked how the same forces telecast Vijay films during festival time to earn money. He has wryly commented ” they need my face to erase my face” He has added angrily ” Festivals come for the celebration for all the people. If they rule that “Only we will fire crackers( during Deepavali) and only we will taste sugarcane ( during Pongal) is this a good country?”
Vijay has further accused that he was virtually prevented from attending a meeting organised by his people movement at Erode citing security reasons. The ruling party men threatened the theater owners even after the release of his latest film “Kavalan’
He has declared that “Kavalan” has laid the road map for his future journey. He has drawn references to the insulting incidents in the life of Gandhi, MGR, Jayalalithaa and Vijaykanth which landed them in leadership.
The interview given by Vijay on the above lines is considered a bold outcry. Earlier his professional rival but personal friend actor Ajith too opened his mouth against the pressure from ruling party men but went silent after meeting the Chief Minister at his residence.
There has been some rivalry simmering between Vijay fans and the DMK men since Vijay was given a pet name ” Ilaya thalapathi” meaning ” Junior Commander”. DMK men felt that the pet name of ‘ Thalapathy” already carried by M.K Stalin was being imitated to convey a meaning that Vijay would be the Leader of younger generation next to M.K Stalin.
Ever since the release date of the Vijay Film ” Kavalan” was postponed allegedly owing to pressure from Deputy Chief Minister M.K Stalin’s son Udhayanithi, there were hectic behind the screen activities which culminated in a meeting of Vijay’s father S.A Chandrasekaran with opposition leader J.Jayalalithaa. It seems necessary plans have already been chalked out by these elders for Ilaya thalapathi.
Now DMK has to face 2G Scam, price rise especially in vegetable and grocery effecting overall food inflation, power cut, inaction in Fishermen killing, hostile congress alliance workers and Vijay. Vijay is expected to divert his fan base to work for AIADMK in this election.
It may be recalled that under similar circumstances Rajini fans worked towards the success of DMK once. Now the AIADMK combine have an added advantage. Whether the DMK will face and defeat the campaign of array of film stars in AIADMK front like what happened in the last elections depends on the field level work to be done by both sides during the election time.

Actor Vijay not to join Congress, DMK [TFC]

Chennai, Sept. 13: Ending speculation about his joining the Congress, actor Vijay said on Sunday that he would not join the party. Though he praised the Congress and the DMK regimes at the Centre and the state, he said he would not join either party. Instead, he would strengthen his people’s movement and focus on politics that would “do good to Tamils in the state and world Tamils in general”. He has not ruled out the possibility of converting the people’s movement into a party in future.
The 35-year-old Kollywood star’s meeting with Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on August 24 and Mr Gandhi’s invitation to Vijay during his recent visit to the state gave rise to speculation about Vijay joining the Congress.
“Rahulji’s simplicity inspired me. He asked about my film career. We talked about Tamil Nadu politics and my people’s movement. But there was no talk about offering me a plum post in the Congress as rumoured in the media,” Vijay told reporters here when asked about his meeting. “I am not joining the Congress or the DMK. I have several lakhs of young fans. I have the social responsibility of leading them in the right direction. They are serving society through the people’s movement. Strengthening the people’s movement is my present goal,” he said.
Vijay said in future he would be ready to join hands with some political force that would do good to Tamils in the state and world Tamils in general.

Media houses in Chennai were gripped with a rumour Thursday evening that actor Vijay would anytime call on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa.

This resulted in scribes calling their colleagues in cinema and political beats with all anxiousness to know as to when the meeting would take place and whether the actor would enroll himself in the main opposition party of the State.

The actor, who apparently has political ambitions, met Jayalalithaa at a marriage function in Chennai recently and cherished his brief meeting with the former Chief Minister in an interview to a magazine.

Jayalalithaa, while addressing a massive rally at Madurai, said without mentioning the name of Vijay that an actor was facing troubles and hurdles from the ruling party thanks to his political ambitions.
