That the picture-perfect Tamanna has a solitary film in Tamil in 'Venghai' is an unbelievably true fact. Despita her popularity among youths and the clamour among Kollywood heroes to cast her opposite them, Tamanna hasn't been flooded with film offers. At times, cinema can be cruel to the most deserving; haven't we seen that before?
'Venghai' pairs Tamanna opposite Dhanush, with whom she had acted in the moderate hit film 'Padikkadhavan' almost two years back. The film is directed by Hari, known for the sickle-and-dagger kind of violence in all his films. That Dhanush has just won the national award for best actor for his role in 'Aadukalam' would no doubt raise audience's expectations in his upcoming films.
Tamanna is presently busy in Tollywood. She has just had a big project releasing, with another waiting in the pipeline. Both the mega-budget films have leading and young heroes opposite her. It is also rumoured that for her role in another Telugu film opposite Junior NTR, the actress has demanded and got a whopping sum of Rs.1.25 crores as she would be locking lips with the hero for the film.
Director Siva, who directed Tamanna in the Karthi-starrer 'Siruthai', was planning to cast Tamanna opposite Karthi in the latter's next film. For some strange reasons, though, Siva is now out of the project but Tamanna would surely be in the film, pairing up with Vishal for the first time. Meanwhile, the lanky actor is said to be talking to a 'leading' director to direct his film with Tamanna.
