Though no official announcement has been made, it is highly likely that actor Vishal might choose director Boopathy Pandian to direct his upcoming film after he wraps up his present project ‘Prabha’. The film, which is directed by Prabhudeva, pits Vishal opposite the ‘hot’ Sameera Reddy for the first time in his career.
More than half-a-dozen directors have been going around in Kollywood telling the media that they have narrated script(s) to Vishal and would be directing his next film. The list also includes Thiru, who directed Vishal’s ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’.
Vishal, though, is said to have decided to try his luck with Boopathy Pandian, who is known for making films which are commercially successful with equal doses of comedy, action and sentiment. In filmy parlance, Boopathy is known as a ‘minimum guarantee’ director which means that his films would be doing not so badly at the box-office.
The choice by Vishal to align himself with Boopathy Pandian for his next film was based on the above-said considerations, it is said. In order to direct Vishal’s films, the director is also said to have made some ‘concessions’ vis-à-vis his fee for the film!
