If reports in Kollywood are to be believed, Saguni is based on the 2G Spectrum scam that shook the nation some months ago. We hear that in this film, the baddie role is inspired by Nira Radia, the corporate lobbyist said to be involved in the scam.Saguni’s director Shankar Dayal has set such a character in the film and it will be a fight between this woman character and Karthi. Interestingly, there are two characters played by Radhika Sarath Kumar and Roja in Saguni and it is unclear as who is doing that powerful role.
The film, which will be the first political drama for Karthi, has Pranitha as the leading lady and Santhanam as the comedian.
