Has Samantha impressed Mani Ratnam? (TFC)
A source close to Mani Ratnam has revealed that the director who was in search of a heroine for his next Tamil film called actress Samantha for a screen test.
Samantha is the heroine in Gautham Menon’s next film Neethane En Ponvasantham. During the shoot Samantha got a call from Madras Talkies office, Mani Ratnam’s production house.
A thrilled Samantha rushed to the office for a screen test but unfortunately after the screen test Samantha was told that she did not fit in. Mani Ratnam is launching actor Karthik’s son Gautham as hero in his next film said to be a passionate love story. Mani Ratnam has decided to return to making Tamil films after making a few Hindi films continuously. He has decided to make a best love story and the search is still on for heroine the source said.

Nani in ‘Naan Ee’ with Samantha! (TFC)
'Veppam' fame Nani will be seen in 'Naan Ee' with Samantha who is now ruling the roost in the film industry. It may just be a co-incidence, but the title just sounds like it's hero's name! Telugu film, 'Eega' is being dubbed in Tamil as 'Naan Ee' and will see a release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil!
The film by SS Rajamouli is taking shape at a fast pace and stars Nani and Samantha in the leads with Sudeep in a negative role. 'Naan Ee' is a socio-fantasy comedy entertainer. Produced by Sai Korrapati, the film would be presented by D Suresh Babu.
It may be mentioned that this is the first film by Rajamouli which will be released simultaneously in two languages. Music is by MM Keeravani and Senthil Kumar is the cinematographer.

Model-turned-actress Samantha Prabhu had a big start in Telugu film industry through Gowtham Menon’s ‘Ye Maaya Chesavo’ and she carried away with her looks in its Tamil version ‘VTV’ playing a cameo role.
And now Samantha has become the most happening actress in Tollywood with more offers in hand. Her Kollywood debut ‘Baana Kathadi’ didn’t work at its best. But then she is now set to have a perfect re-launch in Tamil film industry as Gowtham Menon is likely to sign her for his next Tamil movie. Again reported to be a breezy love story, the film will have a famous actor in lead role.

South Side Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Yellow — Samantha Ruth Prabhu was born on April 28th, 1987 to Malayalee and Telugu parents. The actress has done modeling before making into films.
Her first film is ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ directed by Gowtham Vasudev Menon. She played the lead female role opposite Naga Chanitanya in the film. She has recently okayed to play as the second heroine in the Junior NTR’s upcoming film ‘Brindavanam’ directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
