Being Ajith’s 50th film, the expectations for Mankatha have gone straight through the stratosphere. Few flicks barring of course Superstar Rajinikanth’s films have generated this kind of feverish excitement in recent times. Every miniscule detail about the film that has leaked out has been devoured by the fans who have consequently worked themselves up into a raging frenzy. Ajith’s brand new look for the film is believed to have been inspired by Hollywood star George Clooney, voted by People magazine as the sexiest man in the world. Of course in these parts, people swear that Ajith has rocked this look and looks way better than the Hollywood heartthrob. Venkat Prabhu, the director of super hits like Chennai 600028 and Saroja has promised hardcore Ajith fans a treat they will never forget. He proudly claimed that he himself is a huge Ajith fan and therefore knows exactly what his admirers expect from him and has made the film accordingly.
The music by Yuvan Shankar Raja has enjoyed record sales from day one. The Yuvan – Venkat Prabhu combo has been an extremely successful one in the past and Mankatha has proved again that the cousins make a winning team where music is concerned. The songs are being played everywhere and are really setting the mood for the film which stands on the brink of release.
The makers have been careful not to let too many plot details slip, but the buzz is that Ajith’s character has shades of grey and will be involved in a cat and mouse game with Arjun’s cop character. The film has a starry cast with the likes of Premji Amaren, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash and some fresh talent. Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Andrea and Anjali are the lovely ladies who are going to add sizzle to the proceedings.
The stage is set and the curtains are ready to go up on this spectacular project. The fans are waiting with bated breath for the latest offering from their favorite hero. And not just the fans, Tamil cinema lovers everywhere are also anxious for a helping of Ajith Kumar.

Yuvan’s Line-Up for 2011 (TFC)

Starting off with a commendable work in ‘Vaanam’, Yuvan Shankar Raja completed his hat-trick spell with ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam’ and ‘Avan Ivan’. Following the huge successes of these albums, the music director is now on top gear over simultaneously working on more projects. His much awaited ‘Mankatha’ is scheduled to hit audio stores by mid of July.

Already the single-track album has conquered the towns with the song ‘Vilayaadu Mankatha’ ringing everywhere.
Meanwhile, Yuvan is into the process of rendering some tunes for ‘Kazhugu’ and Ajith’s other film ‘Billa-2’ while the recording for half the songs in Vishnuvardhan’s Telugu movie ‘Shadow’ is done.
Away from film projects, Yuvan is also on the way of preparations for the concert that will be held by this year.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s outstanding background score in Aaranya Kaandam and Avan Ivan have won him incredible reviews. But some of his fans were disappointed as they couldn’t enjoy his songs in these movies. Say for instance, Aaranya Kaandam didn’t have any songs though the makers had planned for a signature song. Avan Ivan missed out the best tracks ‘Avanapathi’ and ‘Our Malai Oram’ that were considered as the cherry picks of this album. However, a couple of new tracks that were seen in the film had engrossed the audiences. Yuvan Shankar Raja confirmed saying that soon the additional tracks of Avan Ivan and Aaranya Kaandam will be released in stores.
Apart from these albums, the music director is going through the mastering of Mankatha songs that will be released by the first week of July.

Vaanam Single Song Release [TFC]

Now that Yuvan and Simbu are coming together again and making Vaanam, you can expect an explosive album in the offing! We know he can dance, sing and direct, and we have often seen glimpses of the good actor he is. Let's hope that Vaanam directed by Krish, will reveal more of Simbu's talents.

According to Simbu, the highlight of the album will be the song 'Evandi Unna Petha Petha', which was released as a single Track! The special number will have a blend of Tamil and English lyrics, with Simbu crooning the Tamil part and Yuvan delivering the English lines. Mumbai based music label Venus is marketing the album.

This Album cost Rs. 35 /-. So will the Kollywood audience accept single tracks? Let's wait and watch!
