Superstar Rajnikanth fans might have been disappointed with the ‘Fake’ Rajnikanth in Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Ra One’. But now they are happy that their matinee idol is back in form with the same energy. The actor is now constantly attending more events and has resumed his hobby of watching more movies.

It is worth mentioning that actress Manu, who made her debut starring opposite Ajith in ‘Kadhal Mannan’ happens to be the friend of Superstar. Yes, while the actor was undergoing severe treatment in Singapore, it was Manu who took care of a wonderful hospitality. To extend his gesture of gratitude and thanksgiving, the actor accepted the invitation and made it happen for the production of ‘Bhishma - The Grandsire’, which is a monologue theatre conceived and successfully performed by ‘Avant theatre in Singapore’, to Chennai.
The play portrays the character of Bhishma as he is lying on the bed of arrows and he questions his decisions in the retrospect. It showcased his integrity and commitment to his king even though he is aware of the final outcome.

Rajnikanth's Raana has been discussed by both Rajnikanth and K.S Ravikumar after he returned from Singapore. Fans want to see the Superstar to confirm that he has been cured of his illness. However, things are going pretty with Raana which may be expected to go on floors in this October.

Now, though October seems too close, K.S Ravikumar has been busy in the casting of heroines in Raana. There will be about seven heroines. Rekha and Madhuri Dixit had already walked out. The latter said that she would not like to don the role of Rajnikanth's sister but would like some better role.
Though there will be seven heroines, all of them will be in pivotal roles but Rajnikanth will be paired with only three, since he dons a triple role in the film. K.S Ravikumar had said that only Deepika Padukone was blocked. Later, Anushka was confirmed.
But the latest buzz is that Ileana, who is in Shankar directed Nanban with Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth, will play the second heroine in Raana. So, it looks like Ileana, Anushka and Deepika Padukone will play the top three roles.
Though they are looking for powerful actresses in the other four roles, even most of the old actresses have backed out. If all goes as planned, Superstar Rajnikanth may be shooting for Raana within a month or two.

Ajith wants to fight with Superstar Rajnikanth (TFC)

Ajith has expressed his longtime wish- that he wants to play villain in a film starring Superstar Rajnikanth. "It should be a dreaded baddie role and I should be beaten like anything by Rajnikanth sir. This is my lifetime ambition," says the Thala.

The actor, who had played a role with negative shades in 'Mankatha', adds: "It would be a great delight to work with Rajnikanth sir. And it would be doubly so if I could get the villain's role in one of his forthcoming films."

Interestingly, it has apparently been Ajith's penchant to do characters with negative shades. He had done it before in 'Vaalee', 'Villain', 'Attagasam' and 'Varalaru', with the highlight being his 50th film 'Mankatha', in which he was seen in a full-fledged negative role- that of a man who would do anything for money.

Meanwhile, the 'Thala' is busy shooting for 'Billa 2' in Goa and is said to be satisfied with the working style of director Chakri Toleti. A couple of days ago, Ajith announced that he might retain his salt-pepper looks post 'Billa 2' and would concentrate on doing characters that suit his age.

he trailer of The Dirty Picture a biopic on Silk Smita that has Vidya Balan is creating waves across the country. Since Silk Smita was one of the original sex symbols it was not surprising to see Vidya Balan in creations designed to showcase her sex appeal.

Now word is leaked out that Naseerudin Shah's character that's portrayed in the trailer as a man who lusts after Silk Smita has been inspired from Rajnikanth who has worked in a few films with Silk Smitha. Now this has irked Rajnikanth fans who are threatening the makers of this film saying that they will turn to violence.
But the producers of Dirty Picture say that Rajnikanth are only overreacting saying that Naseerudin Shah plays an ageing star in the film while Rajnikanth was in his prime when he worked with Silk Smita.

Superstar Rajnikanth thanks fans for their prayers (TFC)

Actor Rajnikanth thanked his fans and well-wishers for their special prayers for his speedy recovery.
In a four-page letter written in Tamil by Rajnikanth from Singapore, a copy of which was released to the press today, the actor said, 'I an indebted to my fans who prayed for me speedy recovery.'
I sincerely believe that heartfelt and sincere prayers by my fans brought me back to good health, he said.

The best way to entertain you all for your boundless love is by entertaining you. I will soon start it with Rana', Rajnikanth said.
The actor also said, 'I take this opportunity to thank the Tamilnadu government and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who promised all help and co-operation during my treatment at the hospital'.

Big Sunday for Superstar fans (TFC)

Rajnikanth fans from all over the world will come together on June 12 to pray for the good health and speedy recovery of the Superstar, who is getting treatment at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in Singapore.

While a mass prayer will be conducted on the day from morning till evening at the Mahavathar Babaji Temple, Parangipettai, those who are unable to take part in the prayer can do so from their home or workplace.
No specific time has been set as it has been left to the fans to decide any time between 10 am and 5 pm. The purpose of the joint prayer is the good health of Rajnikanth and it should be over by 5 pm.
It is a oft-proven belief that mass prayers would have enormous benefits. So Rajini fans, who are always ready to do anything for their Thalaivar, have decided to conduct it this Sunday.

Thalaivar Rajinikanth's voice-clip before leaving to Singapore (TFC)

"I will come back soon and I will meet you all," Superstar Rajnikanth told his fans, before flying to Singapore last night for further treatment.
‘I haven’t done anything great for my people. In fact, I have been doing my job taking money for my profession of acting. But you have made me special and I am awestruck by your gestures. You are all My Gods’.


This was the touching speech Superstar Rajnikanth had recorded before flying down to Singapore. The actor is prone to serious kidney problems and is taken to Singapore for further treatment. The security was very tight as Superstar Rajnikanth was moved at a lightning speed from the hospital to airport.
But again, the fans in Singapore are yearning to meet Superstar Rajnikanth and wish him ‘Get Well Soon’.

Rajnikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush speaks about his health (TFC)

Gujarat’s Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu had met Rajnikanth yesterday at Porur Ramachandra Hospital where he was admitted for respiratory problems. Rajnikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush also mentioned that it was not necessary for Rajni to go to US for further treatment.

For the last few weeks Rajni is suffering from respiratory infection. He was admitted twice at Isabella Hospital. Now he is admitted at Ramachandra Hospital. The doctors treating him said that his health is progressing and there is nothing to worry about it.


Dhanush while speaking about his father-in-law said, "Super Star Rajnikanth is keeping well. There are some problems with his lungs. Because of this there are intermittent fevers. Now his health condition is improving. Fans and people should not be perturbed. Don’t believe the rumors about Rajnikanth. He needs privacy and rest. That is why he is still in hospital. Don’t believe in the rumor that Rajni is leaving for US for further treatment. He will return home within few days. He will make his statement once he comes back home. I am very grateful and thankful to all the people who have prayed for his good health."

ரஜினியின் உடல் நிலையில் தொடர்ந்து சிக்கல் நீடித்து வருகிறது. சிகிச்சைக்காக அவர் வெளிநாடுகளுக்கு செல்லக் கூடும் என்று பேச்சிருந்தாலும், அதற்கு அவசியம் இல்லை என்று தடுத்து நிறுத்தியிருக்கிறார்களாம் மருத்துவர்கள்.
இதற்கிடையில், நேற்று இரவு சுமார் 11 மணியளவில் ரஜினியின் கார் சென்னையிலுள்ள ராமச்சந்திரா மருத்துவமனைக்கு வந்தது. கால்கள் வீங்கிய நிலையில் காணப்பட்டாராம் அவர். மூச்சு திணறலும் இருந்தது. இதையடுத்து அங்கு அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட ரஜினிக்கு பல்வேறு சிகிச்சைகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
இந்த செய்தியை மிக ரகசியமாகவே வைத்திருக்க விரும்புகிறது மருத்துவமனை. காரணம் ரஜினி ரசிகர்கள் அங்கே திரண்டு வந்து நின்றால் என்னாவது என்ற அச்சத்தினால்தானாம். இது குறித்து போன் செய்யும் நிருபர்களிடம் கூட இங்கு ரஜினி சார் இல்லையே.

Superater Rajnikanth returns home, relief for anxious fans (TFC)

 

Never before the public waited with anxiety at the exit from the hospital of any VIP (in any field) in the distant past. People, fans, relatives and well-wishers of superstar Rajnikanth simply can’t digest the fact that he had fallen ‘ill’ and was recuperating at the Isabel Hospital, Chennai. To them, Rajini is always a healthy, happy and carefree individual sans any visible illness which required hospitalization. In fact, this had been the case for the past three decades.
It, therefore, was nothing less than shocking to them to see Rajnikanth getting admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital. That this happened within days of Rajnikanth launching his latest film ‘Raana’ made matters even worse for the fans, who could never get enough of the 61-year old superstar. It was with much relief that they greeted Rajini’s discharge from the hospital in the afternoon today (11th May).
Sources at the hospital say that Rajnikanth has fully recovered from breathing trouble, cold and cough that had been troubling him for the past few days. Still, he needed to have bed-rest for some days, it was informed. It is now reported that during his stay at the hospital, Rajnikanth took ‘permission’ from the team of doctors attending to him and visited his favourite Kalikaambal Temple at Parry’s Corner in Chennai and returned back to the hospital.
Rajnikanth’s fans in and outside the country had conducted special prayers, ‘yagnas’ and other chores to their respective Gods and prayed for the superstar’s recuperation and recovery from the illness.

Rajini Hospitalized and Discharged [TFC]

Earlier in the day during the first shoots of Raana, Rajini had to be  admitted at the intensive care unit (ICU) at St. Isabel Hospital,Mylapore,Chennai on Friday (April 29, 2011) after suffering dehydration and exhaustion. Later was discharged in the evening.

Rajini who was doing ‘Muhurat Shot’ in AVM Studios for his upcoming film ‘Rana’ earlier on the same day started throwing up in the set. The actor was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was treated and remained under observation of doctors for a few hours .

Speaking to the reporters, Super Stars  wife Latha said, the actor is doing good and doctors have advised him to take rest for a couple of days.

Also Dhanush who tweeted to the rajini fans few hours back said “He is perfectly ok. Just dehydration. Nothing to worry at all. He will be home tonight itself!“

Superstar Rajnikanth alters promos of Dhanush’s Mappillai? [TFC]

The verdict is out: despite Sun Pictures’ shout from the roof-top, the box-office collections of Dhanush’s latest offering ‘Mappillai’ are far from encouraging.  It is said that Dhanush, who had been on ‘Cloud Nine Movies’ prior to the release of this film after having delivered four consecutive hits including ‘Aadukalam’, has been brought to the Earth with a thud.

Notwithstanding the fact that film hasn’t been going great, Dhanush has reportedly hiked his fee per film by a whopping Rs.1.5 crores.  Observers point out that the ‘hike’ at a wrong time might have an adverse impact on his career as he doesn’t have that manyprojects in Tamil except ‘Irandaam Ulagam’.  Dhanush is reportedly not all worried about his standing in the industry and is hoping that his upcoming film ‘Irandaam Ulagam’, directed by his elder brother Selvaraghavan, would help him retrieve the lost ground in Kollywood.
Reports say that superstar Rajnikanth wasn’t amused when he saw the promos of the film ‘Maapillai’ on television as the repeated visuals showed his (Rajni’s) voice saying a set of dialogues (as he uttered in the original).  Rajnikanth reportedly spoke to the filmmaker and had his voice taken off from the promos as the film didn’t star him.
