One more Vijay Vs Dhanush (TFC)

This isn’t something new, but a process over the years. Perhaps, it’s a mere coincidence as the films of Vijay & Dhanush have clashed several times in the box office, especially for the festive occasion of Pongal. Three years back, it was Villu Vs Padikadhavan that was released on January 14. However both the films received lukewarm response disappointing the fans.

This year 2011, it was Aadukalam and Kaavalan that won critical acclaims and yielded best results for producers as well.
The forthcoming Pongal is not gonna be an exception as the actors will continue to clash with their films. If what we heard from the trade circles is believed to be true then Dhanush’s upcoming movie ‘3’ directed by his wife Aishwarya will hit screens on January 14, 2012. Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ starring Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth is already confirmed for the same occasion as the paper ads have already confirmed it as ‘Pongal is Well’.

Dhanush croon 2 numbers for Mayakkam Enna (TFC)

mayakkam Enna is a film which has Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead roles. This film is directed by Selvaraghavan. G V Prakash Kumar has composed the music. The audio CD consisting of 6 tracks will be released on 15th September. Ramji has handled the camera for this film.

Dhanush has sung two songs for this film and all the lyrics for the songs of this film have been penned by Dhanush and Selvaraghavan. Dhanush have sung the songs that begin with the lines Voda Voda Dhooram Korayala and Kadhal En Kadhal. Director Selvaraghavan has also sung along with Dhanush for the song Kadhal En Kadhal. Another interesting thing is that G V Prakash has sung a song which begins with the line Pirai Thedum with his fiancee Saindhavi.

Dhanush – Shruti Hassan’s ’3′ – First Look (TFC)

Everyone is not getting everything they desire in life. But a man (Dhanush) achieves all possible things. However, he still has a vacuum to be filled. What is it forms the crux of 3," says Aishwarya Dhanush, who is wielding the megaphone for this biggie.On Thursday, stills from '3' were released for the first time, through advertisements in leading newspapers. They featured the lead pair Dhanush and Shruti Hassan sharing close moments with each other in different backgrounds.

Aishwarya adds: "3 was initially scripted by me as a short film. After understanding that it would commercially click as a full-length feature film, we (she and Dhanush) decided to make it as a movie. That's how it happened."
Claiming that her father Superstar Rajnikanth is fully aware of the story of '3', Aishwarya says, "In fact it was he who encouraged me to direct the film. I have started the shooting with the blessings of my parents and my in-laws."

Richa Gangopadhyay caught between Simbu & Dhanush (TFC)

Richa Gangopadhyay, who was now working with Dhanush for Mayakkan Enna and Simbu for Osthi. Richa Gangopadhyay is very active on the social networking site Twitter and keeps fans updated on happenings in her life. Now she was caught between Dhanush and Simbu fans.

Recently some of Simbu's fans sent her nasty tweets berating her for allegedly promoting Dhanush's film more. Dhanush's fans jumped into the fray and things started to get a little heated.
Richa Gangopadhyay pacified both sets of fans by saying that she has enjoyed working with both stars and does not favor either of them. The actress has also requested the fans not to drag her into their war.

Dhanush Confirms on Rajinikanth's health (TFC)

Dhanush, son-in-law of Superstar Rajinikanth has confirmed on the health of Rajinikanth and informs his fans and media that his health is getting better, putting rest to the death rumors.
From Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Porur, Dhanush told journalists, “They are mere rumors. There is not even an iota of truth in it. Rajini sir is fast recovering and he has some minor health problems only.”
Dhanush also informed that Rajinikanth is taking full rest and that he is co-operating well to the treatment given to him. He also revealed that no visitors are allowed in the hospital, as Rajini is to take complete rest.
The medical bulletin from Sri Ramachandra Hospital said on Monday “Rajinikanth will spend few more days in the ward and is being treated for lung infection and gastro intestinal problems. He is not in the ICU.”

Dhanush & Tamannaah dream song in Kuala Lumpur (TFC)

Dhanush and Tamannaah have landed in Kuala Lumpur to shoot a song sequence for Venghai.

The abroad tour is said to be the final schedule and with this the shooting portion gets completed. The song which is getting canned in Kuala Lumpur is the dream song between the lead pair. Devi Sri Prasad has given a foot-tapping number and ace choreographer, Brinda is giving some superb dance moves.

Superstar Rajnikanth alters promos of Dhanush’s Mappillai? [TFC]

The verdict is out: despite Sun Pictures’ shout from the roof-top, the box-office collections of Dhanush’s latest offering ‘Mappillai’ are far from encouraging.  It is said that Dhanush, who had been on ‘Cloud Nine Movies’ prior to the release of this film after having delivered four consecutive hits including ‘Aadukalam’, has been brought to the Earth with a thud.

Notwithstanding the fact that film hasn’t been going great, Dhanush has reportedly hiked his fee per film by a whopping Rs.1.5 crores.  Observers point out that the ‘hike’ at a wrong time might have an adverse impact on his career as he doesn’t have that manyprojects in Tamil except ‘Irandaam Ulagam’.  Dhanush is reportedly not all worried about his standing in the industry and is hoping that his upcoming film ‘Irandaam Ulagam’, directed by his elder brother Selvaraghavan, would help him retrieve the lost ground in Kollywood.
Reports say that superstar Rajnikanth wasn’t amused when he saw the promos of the film ‘Maapillai’ on television as the repeated visuals showed his (Rajni’s) voice saying a set of dialogues (as he uttered in the original).  Rajnikanth reportedly spoke to the filmmaker and had his voice taken off from the promos as the film didn’t star him.

‘Tsunami dialogue’ hurts Dhanush badly [TFC]

Actor Dhanush’s latest film ‘Aadukalam’ had him had him uttering a dialogue which went like this: “We are capable enough of swimming against even the Tsunami waves” (Naangallaam Tsunamilayae swimminga pottavanga).

As fate would have it, the deadly Tsunami wreaked great havoc on the peace-loving country of Japan 10 days ago. This has given a handle to the actor’s detractors who have been messaging the actor as to ‘why didn’t he go to Japan to swim and save the Tsunami victims?’

This has obviously irritated Dhanush, whose father-in-law and superstar Rajnikanth enjoys a huge fan following in the country thanks to his many hits in Japan like ‘Muthu’, ‘Chandramukhi’, etc. Dialogue, basically, is the whole-some responsibility of the director and everyone should realize this, insists the actor.

Dhanush, like others, was deeply upset by the Tsunami tragedy that has shaken Japan. Upset by the media’s criticism of his ‘Aadukalam’ dialogue in the backdrop of the actual Tsunami in Japan, Dhanush has jetted off to the far and safe destination of Monaco with family to relax himself

Dhanush Vs Simbhu again [TFC]

As per the official announcement it has been said that Dhanush starrer 'Mapillai' a remake version of Rajnikanth's 80's 'Mapillai' and Simbhu stareer 'Vaanam' is all set to hit the screens in April.

As per the trade sources, Sun Pictures have regularised their series of movies to release in April. Mapillai has been booked to hit the screens on April 8 and Vaanam filmmaker also felt that April 8 is the apt date to release his flick as well as the ICC World Cup gets over on April 2nd and this would be ideal date to release the new films.

Dhanshu who is currently shooting for Director Hari’s Vendhai alongside Tamanna, is in Trichy. Dhanush earlier had shot in the city for his movie ‘Thiruda Thirudi’ with Chaya Singh, some 8 years back.

Dhanush who found it difficult to come out of his Aadukalam character, with which he had live for nearly an year or so, said he somehow managed to start his shoot for Venghai. 
Dhuanush had tweeted, “Shootin gin Trichy after 8 years! Have so many early stages of actor memories (sic).”

Hope this movie also turns out to be a great hit for Dhanush after Aadukalam, as he has joined Hari for the first time, who has given hits before sounds like a winning combo.
